5 Easy Steps to Apply False Eyelashes
Ladies, I think we can all agree that we all love long voluminous set of lashes. I personally love mascara and I probably apply 10 layers of mascara on my natural lashes every time to get that voluminous look but sometimes mascara just doesn’t cut it. 1. It makes the process of getting ready so much longer, 2. You just want that extra glam look that you can’t achieve just with mascara and that’s when falsies come in action.
I struggle every time I try to apply false lashes. It is so frustrating when you try to apply them on your lashes and the glue goes all over the place and the lashes don’t stick. Well I got good news for you!!! I found another way to apply false lashes super easily and have been using this method ever since. If you want to know how then keep reading 🙂
Step 1: What You Need
You need false lashes, lash glue, and tweezers to apply the lashes with or you can just use your fingers, which is what I use.
Step 2: Prepare the lashes
My favorite false lashes are Ardell Wispies Demi Black. However, sometimes false lashes can be stiff and not have a good curve. To fix this problem, gently toggle the lash strip back and forth with your fingers making a U shape. What this does is gives it a better curve to align right with the shape of your eyes.
Step 3: Cutting the lashes
Now that you have that perfect curve, you can start cutting the lash strips in half or in 3 sections (I like cutting it in 3)
Step 4: Applying the glue
As I mentioned earlier, it is so frustrating when the glue gets on your eyelids when trying to put on the lashes. That is because the glue is still wet. You MUST wait 30 secs to a minute for the glue to get tacky before applying it on your lash line.
What works best for me is putting a small amount of DUO black glue on a plastic surface or on the back of my hand, wait about 30 seconds then gently slide the lashes through the glue.
Step 5: Applying the lashes
Place the lashes as close as you can to your lash line. I apply the middle section first then the inner section and lastly the outer section. When placing the lashes, make sure you all the sections are directly next to each other.
After about 30 seconds, I like to squeeze the false lashes on to my natural lashes with my fingers to make sure they are in place and line up with my eye shape. Lastly, I apply mascara, which is totally optional.
